What to expect

After being fitted with a harness, you’ll make your way to the centre of the bridge where experienced guides are waiting, music pumping! There will be around 5-10 people per group so expect an adrenaline-fuelled party, plenty of nerves and a death-defying leap of faith.

Booking your bungee

Bungee jump costs from 690ZAR (£62). The DVD (highly recommended!) is another 300ZAR (£27) and professional pictures from 70ZAR (£6). You can also buy T-shirts, hoodies and other memorabilia in the tourist shop.

Looking for cheap accommodation along the Garden Route? Victoria Bay  is a beautiful cove that has excellent camping facilities on the clifftop.

This beach is perfect for keen surfers and has plenty of space for football, barbecues and sunbathing. Best of all? The view from campsite is breathtaking – think towering cliffs, a rugged ocean and soft white sand.

Hire wetsuits (20ZAR per hour) and surf boards (30ZAR per hour) from the local shop or simply relax in the beachside café with a cold beer. NB: Try the chicken, bacon and avocado pizza – it’s delicious!

Camping facilities

Victoria Bay Caravan Park has two campsites: one with shared bathroom facilities (prices from 137ZAR per site); and one with individual facilities for each site, pictured below (prices from 140ZAR).
