Malaria hits Greece – travellers warned to take precautions

Planning a trip to Greece this summer? Holidaymakers are being warned to take precautions against malaria

Five people have been struck down by the illness, which is caused by mosquitoes, since June this year. All cases were seen in people who had no history of travel to a country where malaria is common, according to the Health Protection Agency.
